A Little Bit of History

Golf was first played in Crows Nest in 1933 in the old showgrounds, the club was formed in 1934 and then moved to Mr Bert Hudsons property, which is where the course is today.  The first club house was built in 1937 and was replaced in 1951 along with major changes to the course layout.

The original club house was sold for 46 Pounds, 10 Shillings and two pence and is still in use today as the Cub scouts hut on Creek Street, Crows Nest.

In 1968 126 acres of land including the course was purchased by the club for $8,000.
